    Very Important SHARKS

Any potential Shark angler Please read

I just returned home from a shark meeting primarily about SandBar sharks { Browns } NMFS / HMS / SE Region are trying to take any and all interaction with SandBars sharks away from Rec anglers and reduce the Comm boats to reduced research. I will post the whole entire plan but what we really need is for everyone to send a post card saying Amendment 2 status quo.

Anglers this is very important We all know the amount of Browns that there are in our area but according to the "" MODELS "" there are none.

    Please take this seriously !!!!!!

A few of us fought like mad men last night. But it was only a few we need some serious numbers to send in a comment. For some reason I see Sonja's finger prints all over this. This is the same thing that happened with spiny dogs. We all know that there is none of them.

Just about a year ago the NMFS had a forum/hearing here in OCMD at the Ocean Pines library. At the time they informed us about their study on coastal sharks and that there may be some changes in the offing.
THERE WERE 2, YES TWO PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE! Me and a guy from the loacal paper with me being the only charter capt. There was a period for about a month after for written response and NMFS was on the road to a couple of other locals and then it would be over. THIS IS THE RESULT!
Recreational, charter and commercial stake holders may have missed their chance to affect the outcome. I hope not. Listen to fishpicker and get/stay involved! Thanks! Rant over.

Thats how most meeting go unfortunately Nobody cares till it's to late. Last night was no different. In attendance was three guys from aquariums three enviro's two rec's and NJ's two comm sharks boats. We know what the enviro's want , the Aquariums just want to be able to show the public what a shark looks like. Leaving the four of us to defend for the rest. The two rec guys were very sharp with the bogus numbers and Myself and the other Shark boat no how this game is being played. So collectively we were able to throw a load of counter punches. But not enough we need to send public comments in masses. Please take thirty seconds to do so !!!!!!!

Pleas keep this in mind The rec's are gonna be shut do mainly because of Identification and interaction Most can't tell the difference between SandBars and Dusky's. So if SandBars are being closed due to interaction with Dusky's what will be closed do to interactions with SandBars ??? Answer Everything !!!! No more shark tourneys , No more bottom fishing , No more chunking. The only thing that will be left is high speed trolling which is fine for some but not for most !!!!!!

This is not just a NJ issue this is a issue that goes from Texas to Maine so we all need to get on the ball !!!!!!
