UPDATE: Calcutta Wahoo Challenge
Due to the current marine weather forcast, the Ex. Directors of the Calcutta are considering making the 2007 Spring CWC a one day tournament with fishing on Saturday, April 21st. The Board will make the final decision on Thursday morning, April 19th. We will post the info here and our website www.calcuttawahoo.com. If this occurs, each boat will be allowed to weigh 2 wahoo's on Sat. for the Level III aggregate. Also, we will follow the posted Schedule of Events....Registration/ Capt. Meeting on Thursday....Dinner for Capt. & Crew on Friday evening....Fishing/Awards Dinner Sat.
Thanks for your support and we look forward to a great event!
Heck...why do you think we call it the Calcutta Wahoo CHALLENGE!

WOW.....
I NEVER THOUGHT THIS COULD HAPPEN! THERE IS A TOURNY GOD!!!THIS DESICION COULD POSSIBLY KEEP SOME SMALLER RIGS STILL REGISTERING
AND I TIP MY RIGGERS TO THE COMMITTEE FOR THE POSSIBLE CONSIDERATION .....
THEY ARE ONE OF THE VERY VERY FEW WHO KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER IN THE WORLD OF TOURNYS.....THE SMALL BOAT GOES HOME AND THE BIG BOYS GO PLAY....
CONGRATUALTIONS TO THE CALCUTTA STAFF !!! AT LEAST WE KNOW SAFETY AND FAIRNESS TO ALL IS ON THE AGENDA!!
ROCK ON AND CALCUTTA SUNGLASSES ARE THE STUFF!!

WOW !!!!
Now thats first class......Thanks Calcutta staff for the consideration

DO WHAT??
Other tourneys should follow what you guys are doing,I've fished a many tourney and had my but kicked several times because all they wanted was there money,When the weather sucks you gotta keep the fishermen that make the tourneys what they are in mind, not just the bank account.

WOW!!! Very impressed to hear that you wouldeven consider it!!
Very classy move!

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
That is very nice of the tournament committee to do that.
HOWEVER....
Why not just shift it to a Saturday and Sunday tournament?
The weather is looking great on Saturday and Sunday.
Making it a 1 day tournament is very considerate for the committee to do. But, your still going to have people out there PO'd because they are going to feel like they are getting screwed out of a day of fishing IMO.
Just an out loud idea Tournament Girl.

Thanks for the positive feedback....the guys are really trying to be fair to all involved and to make it safe and fun because we do have quite a few kids that love to fish this tourney also.
About Sat & Sun...we would love to go that route but we would run into extensive costs with the rental company which would take money from our charities.....and our event permit runs till midnight on Sat. We may look into changing that for future tourneys.
Again, thanks for all the feedback...it really does help to hear what you guys have to say and help us run a better event.
Check here or our website www.calcuttawahoo.com for the update in the morning...prolly around 9am.
