Hawaii USED TO BE one of the sportfishing capitols of the world, but now I think they are a prime example of what overfishing and not practicing catch and release will do. They gotta do something.... killing 50 pound blue marlins and anything else that swims is probably starting to get to them there and they arent finding the waters as fruitful as they were decades ago.
Everyone else in the world has figured out that if you kill the fish, you cant make any money off them.
I would be ashamed to bring in those little tiny yellers, but hey- maybe somebody somewhere thinks its cool.

Sure about that??? This year has been epic in Kona with two granders and numerous fish in the 7 to 900's. World Cup 2008.....yup won by Kona,Hawaii. Hmmmm..."used to be one of the sportfishing capitols of the world"......?????????

Im not saying there aint big fish there. There just aint the numbers like it was before.
That is an epic year. No doubt about that. There are some very good fishermen in Hawaii. All I am saying is that I think better conservation practices would prevent bs posts like this where this guy shows us a tub of bait and one bailer dolphin.
