The odds of a mahi in there are a million to one. Jacks are much more common in shallow water and even though your home port is a little far north that's exactly what you found here. I want to know how the hell he got stuck like that

but there is no doubt that is a jack. Look at his tail, see those ridges or I think the term is caudal feduncle. They were hard like bone and kinda sharp, it is a dead giveaway even with the bad picture.

but i agree with you - its a jack, but i think the point that he found so close to home is still pretty cool.
