If you add one more foot to your wish list man I would look for a new or used 36 Jersey Cape!

I am in center console mode right now in my life but as I have traveled around for the last few years looking around factorys, fishing on boats I will definitly be looking to buy the 36 Jersey Cape.

YEH, I don't get it either. I own a Regulator so I'm a bit partial and am a freind of Joan Mawell's( Pres. of Regulator, but it doesn't make much sense to me. I recently asked her what they were thinking when they designed the 30' Express and in short she thought that it would compete with some of the Contender's express models and I also think it has something to do with the contract they have with Yamaha. Anyway, the 30' Express, while probably a great boat, Regulator would have had much more to gain, in the long run, entering into the mid 30 Express market with either a 500-600hp single diesel or two smaller ones. Putting a bracket on a 30' Express when they already have a 32 seems very unthought out. My opinion, not enough thought went into that one, and again, I don't get it either.

All you Carolina boys, keep your fingers crossed that this blow will turn on the GBF this week and be the start of a CONSISTANT season. I'm going to need one maybe two guys, preferrably experienced, to giant fish this Fri. 7th and Sat. the 8th. Anyone interested let me know or if you know someone who might be. 50'er. out of Morehead. bigfish@fatn2a.com

    Tight lines, hopefully.

I think your thinking is right and this should have been a walk around to even think of competing. I really dont understand these style boats. Even some of the grady whites. You end up with 6 foot of fishable area on both sides. I need space lots of space!

Good point. I can't believe they would even consider a bracket on that boat, brackets are a pain to deal with and I feel they make the ride a lot rougher.

Yeah, I was interested in teh Regulator until I saw the pictures - it just doesn't look right with that bracket. Century, I haven't heard a lot of good about them - has something changed?

Admin, I agree, I love teh looks of teh Jersey Cape, but it's out of my range price wise. I am also a bit concerned as there was a new one in Sunset Marina a few seasons ago and early in the second season, I noticed a major crack through the gunwale just aft of the tower mount. I don't know the story behing the crack, but it left me suspicious I guess.
