The Ultimate Fishing Show

I believe the first episode of this great NZ show will be aired today in the USA on America One. If you saw the fella on the jetski with a marlin - this is he, together with a whole bunch of cronies.

New Zealand is full of huge, fit fish of various species, some of them familiar, so less well known, but tune in to the show and you won't be disappointed. The host is Matt Watson, a former big-game fisho who has created a cult following in the Pacific arena, chasing fish from NZ to Vanuatu, from the shore to the offshore Waganella Banks, some 400 miles NW of NZ.

Huge bluefin, swordfish, XXXX stripies, snapper and yellowtail kingfish - you'll meet them all. Above water footage, stupendous and original underwater footage, lots of drama and humour, all presented by a very likeable fellow.

Look up your local listings for details. Hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of the world does !

I was just checking their website out last week. The jet ski tagging vid is wild. You have to wonder why 90% the TV shows in the states "suck". This guy Matt is affable and witty. What a refreshing change for the viewers here.

I'm afraid to watch it. If I start to like a show, that seems to be the kiss of death for it.

Those all appear to be low power stations that just reach a small area. for example the one in southern pines probably doesn't even reach all of moore county.

For those that pick this show up...how does a trip 100km’s offshore, traversing one of New Zealand’s most notorious harbour bars, in a 4mtr dingy, targeting one of the toughest fish that lives sound… oh, and doing it with nothing more than a hand line…yep, MAD kinda sums it up. This is the latest episode from the boys at ITM.
