I just bought some small black rubber bands from wal-mart. Look in the hair section and you can find packs of about 500 or so small black rubber bands for 99 cents. I think they are for hair curlers or something. they are good size for rigging ballyhoo. They are not all the same size in one pack but they are all good size for rigging, 3-4 wraps around a hoo.

Don't know what brand but they decay just as fast as the natural ones and I need twice as many on my planer baits. I think they stink! Basck to Staples for me!!

Younger, I'm betting the rubber bands you used were probably just black colored, not the UV protected type, the brand WAHOONBOX showed me were HHT Rubber BAnds manufactured by SIRCO.

    I guarantee that they weren't U.V. resistant.
