Walhalla II with skipper Soren Jensen

I just spoke to the skipper as well as the very lucky anglers...

It was Walhalla II with skipper Soren Jensen along with anglers Bjarne Lehné and Klaus Bethelsen, all from Denmark, that caught the 2 granders.

    I attach a photo

    Best regards

    Peter Johnsen

The Walhalla II belongs to Soren Jensen... The boat is relatively new - Soren has, however, been fishing La Gomera for quite a few years. I believe he and Mathias worked together back then...

I think it was Soren and one of his friends I met and had dinner with one evening last year when I was there. That looks like him in the black cap opening the transom door? I recall that they were a little unlucky the days I was there except for a 70kg yellowfin (nice) - but they more than made up for it this year. That's a fantastic day's fishing; congratulations to the team. There are some really dedicated big game anglers in Denmark; that's for sure.

La Gomera is definitely a destination that should be on the hit list of more globe trotting anglers and more private boats.

ps. Roddy - Matthias isn't in La Gomera.

No it shouldn't. It's a horrible place and really not worth visiting There's no nightlife, no discos, no fancy hotels or casinos, and it's really, really rough. The fishing is nothing to get excited about either. I take back everything i said in my previous post - don't bother going.

Yes, silly me. He's in the Cape Verdes, isn't he ? Is Walhalla still in Tenerife, though ?
