Have to make this quick I'm on a prep period. Went out with OG Saturday on the twisted for some striper action. First we headed out front with intentions of hugging the beach in hopes to find some bird action. It turned out that due to the bad weather the past few days the water looked like chocolate milk! So we didn't last long there, then we decided to try the Bay, heard from a guy it was doable, since we were in a 28 Grady we were confident. Started at the 20, still dirty water! Moved into some deeper water where it was much cleaner and set up shop. At this point the wind gave us a little remorse, but the fishing was slow. Not until an hour before the tide we started getting some nice hook-ups. We did lose what might have been a keeper at the boat which I don't want to get into!! (OG and his hair-line leader!) We ended up getting a wave of two more shorts then came slack. At this time it was back to the barn.
I forgot to add the wave of dirty water that came in halfway through. I really thought after that water got to us we were in trouble but with the amount of time we had left in the tide (since we were only able to fish 1 tide) it wasn't worth moving and setting up somewhere else. Somehow the fish found our baits.
