    Tuna Smackdown-Vallarta-Pacifico- PIX!

Customer just forwarded a report and pictures from June 25th, giddyup!! Some real meat in this report.

Just returned from an outstanding Tuna trip with Manny and crew on Pacifico in Puerto Vallarta. We hit the banks first, where we raised one marlin, caught jack cravelle, snapper, skip jacks, and saw loads of bait.... Manny decided to move on to Corbatena when things slowed down. When we arrived, we were the only boat at Corbatena. Within minutes of arrival, Manny had a kite over the birds, and BAM, it was non stop action for the rest of the day. The kite and top water plugs were deadly. Loads of pictures to follow. I also got some great video, which I hope to find a way to post soon. Manny and the crew were relentless!!!! The tuna never had a chance! The last video attachment (hopefully), shows an attack on the kite bait, followed by a string of breaking tuna. Beautiful!!

Holly Buckets Drew, you're killing me. Guess this means the boat is well and happy. Very nice.
How do you know it's not there if you can't see it?

Just wondering as I have never kite fished do you run multiple release clips on a single kit?

    Thanks

We do indeed. 2 clips with the kite off the stern, with each clip having a double trouble bait rig, which is 2 live caballitos on separate lines crimped to the main line. The baits are shoulder hooked with Hayabusa 6/0 or 7/0 magnum circles. The kite off the bow usually has a single clip hanging a single bait line. We use the aftco kites because they are waterproof and generally deals with a wide variety of wind conditions best. Drew
