    tues-weds report on the squidnation

Fished tuesday with my brother and two nephews. pretty bumpy all day in the Baltimore. First line out gets nailed with a big yellowfin. got him to the boat and pulled him off. an hour later we caught a longfin right on the 100 below the baltimore. An hour after that we have a white come straight off the dredge to the right flat. I missed him on the right flat and then my nephew misses him on the right long. started the LTH since we had a sick nephew and it was getting late. crossing the fifty I am up on the tower relaxing on the bean bag and I see the right long rod do the white marlin twitch. I lean over and pick up the rod and feed. White marlin caught. That was our day. Beautiful ride home as the seas calmed.

Yesterday went back to the baltimore. had another slob tuna on the right long first thing. this time the fish had a death wish. Took us an hour plus to get the pig in the boat on a tld 25. around 12:45 the crew is gettin hungry so we break out the grill and stick in the left flat rod holder. As I am flipping tuna steaks and a white comes up on the right flat. Hookem up and start circling back. fish pops off but we got bit again imediatly on the left long. Caught fish. One more little possible and encounter and that was our day. shitty ride home.

Now that's a hell of a mental picture: spatulla in rght hand, Vodka Tonic in left tending the grill and the right flat alarm goes off--- Now holding White Boy on dink rod in right hand, flipping Tuna steaks with left and then the ole switcharoo to squeeze the lime in the drink without skipping a beat.
    Pretty work Bill.

Thanks again Bill. Had a great time yesterday. The grilled tuna was great. Next time let's try to hook the big yellowfin on the right rod!!

Pretty work Bill. How come no Pirates Cove this year? The bite is off the charts...........figures that I'm stuck in Wilmington this week. Thinking about going up there Saturday for a few days and get in on some post Tourney action. Might get a condo and just fish and hang out for 3 or 4 days.............door is open.

Lou - I may take you up on it. I decided to skip PC and MA500 this year because I am going to venezuela for a few more days then normal in Oct. BTW - I will call you about that one. I may have a spot for a couple day. I will call you later today.
