    A trip down memory lane...

    Aloha Folks,

Ono Noah back at it again here on Thursday morning, 7-31-08. What a gorgeous Maui morning it is, beautiful sunrise, warm weather, as the beach boys would say -- 'We're feeling the good vibrations!'

As the final day of July comes to an end, it brings me to remember July of last year, 2007. This would be a monumental day for Captain Rhino of Start Me Up Sportfishing. As he departed early that morning, there was a sense of serene tranquility blanketing the sea, almost beckoning the 42' custom sportfisher into her realm.

A couple of hours into the trip, the rubber band snapped on the short corner. Captain Rhino knew what to do as his instincts kicked in, carefully coaching the customers through the process, it took about an hour and half to land this beast.

Unbelievable day. The crowds were lining up to view this billfish. And the fish was not wasted folks, here in Hawaii we have a strong tradition of using every last part of the fish, even the eyeballs of this billfish were consumed, by humans nevertheless.

A trip down memory lane... what a pleasure it is to remember the great bites over the years. Stay tuned for more updates later today folks, thanks for the positive feedback, and remember -- Stop Wishin' and Go Fishin'!

Were you on the boat for that fish Noah? Did you wire or stick it?
We want the story from someone who was on board.
    Thanks for posting.

    Aloha SeaBiscuit,

Mahalo for taking interest, actually I was not on the boat. The crew and Captain Rhino were fairly stoked and somewhat nostalgic about the whole event.

What an epic day it was. I'll be posting what we caught today, stay tuned for some awesome pics and reports.

    Mahalo,

    -Ono Noah
