Tournament Idea

I've always thought it would be a interesting idea to have a tournament in the Mid Atlantic that was different from the rest. A tournament where you could target any species permitted by NMFS (not exceeding daily catch limits) and with the overall goal to come into the scales with the heaviest combined weight. I believe this tournament would be a fun tournament to fish and keep an eye on. There may be some organizations out there such as PETA that would frown upon this but, I really could care less about PETA and its followers. I by no means want to be responsible for this perspective tournament as I would rather fish it. So if anyone would like to take this idea to the next level have at it. Let me know what you all think...

You would need to come up with some kind of size limits or you will have a bunch of 99 inch blue marlin killed.

I completely disagree that it would turn into a tuna tourney... espesially if it was held in Ocean City...
60 5 pound dolphin add up to what most, prob 90%, of boats catch per day in the OC tuna tourney...
Also, you have huge hammerheads and other sharks all around all summer...
What about ONE big blue marlin will outweigh most stingers of yellowfin as well... Ten 50 pound yellowfins is only 500 pounds... and... on most days ... most boats during the day in the midatlantice are averaging WAY less then 10...
I think its a sweet idea... and i think good rules would be as long as it is legal and caught IGFA legal during tourney hours it counts...

That's funny, though I don't think it'd be IGFA legal.
