    True Dat...

I agree, I think trying various techniques that I am proficient in will be an advantage. I'm sure most guys will set up the kites on the edge or rip and basically wait for the fish to find them. My goal is to run and gun, find the 'fishy' areas and then to troll ballyhoos till I fill up the box.. What size ballyhoo would you guys use? If targeting the larger bulls I think keeping the meat on the large size will eliminate the small schoolies from wrecking me up..

15" hi-speed wahoo lure trolled at 14+kts and this little nut runs it down......

this is the reason I do not waste money on bally-hoo, the lure catches the fish just as well without it.

You have the boat to run and gun...use your speed to your advantage

My buddies on the Nothins Wild (40' Sea Hunter) have won several Dolphin Tournaments with that tactic...Most were the big Dolphin tournaments in the Keys...They are the new schoolers on the block...One of the main keys is to stick with your plan...have everyone on the boat look for birds and/or debree...Birds that are flying south (opposite of northern current) usually are under the larger fish...Don't be afraid to leave small fish to find the larger fish...If your not out prefishing every day, search local forums to find were the bite is happening (North or South).

Get your 5 fish...then worry about size replacement.
