Tournament filled weekend brought good results

Well - Got a great call first thing this morning that made the rest of my day more pleasent.

The MSSA office called and said that we took

1st place in the 2 fish stringer calcutta
1st place in the 6 fish stringer calcutta
4th place in Big Tuna overall

Can't remember what the total payout was but it was enough to pay the weekend bills plus a few drinks and dinner plus put a few bucks in everybody's pocket. Thanks to Often Ernie, Dove Hunt, Absolutely, Shark JP, Eric and Bitemysister. Also thanks to our two ringer anglers that caught the big stringer on Sunday. The 80lb Yellowfin was caught by 12 yr old 77lb Rachel Spaden on a stand up 80. The 74lb yellowfin was caught by 12 yr old Nicholas Pino on 80lb stand up.

We also fished the OC Marlin Club Small boat Tournament this weekend and eaked out a second place Dolphin. The Captain (me) made the bonehead decision to fish it Saturday with the allstar crew. Problem was we couldn't get on a decent fish. Had we let the kids take the tournament on Sunday we would have swept both the Dophin and Tuna Categories. Oh well thats Fishing. Great weekend
