    Something I've always wondered.

I've always rigged them like everyone else but is there a reason we don't put both ends of the mono coming in and out of the hook through the chin weight? Also does it matter where you connect the monel?

OK but what about the chin weight question.

    DRILL HOLES

IMO, I think you would be better off if you drill 3/16" or 1/4" holes on the edge of the baskets every 1-1/2" apart around the edge.

Then put your rig hooks into the holes so they don't slide and make a mess and tangle with each other.

Then use the twisty curls for keeping them loops neat and tangle free, they are worth a few bucks.

I did notice though that if it went in the water piano wire rusts, so I change it every time...

No - You aren't blocked in my book - That's the cool thing about Sportfishermen.com - People can have and express their opinions.
