Well it's a little late but I just got my camara back and didn't want to post the report without the Pictures. What started out to be a slow pick on the Gags turned out to be a great day of fishing. The Gags seemed to be biting alittle slow last week so after putting a few nice one's in the box Joe and I agreed to run off aways and look for some reds. Ran about 30 nm out of new river inlet on a picture perfect ocean, not a breath of wind all day not bad for 11/19/2007. Didn't know if the Reds would be still holding in this area or had they made there move to the stream. well we dropped the hook, and as the boat swung around I let it fly, no sooner did I hit bottom and a Red crushed my bait. It was non stop, 25 Reds in 15min. Not bad... the rest of the day was a pick as the current started to get us. But all in all a great trip. Mind you Joe and I commercial grouper fish together thats why you'll see all the grouper on the deck. I owe everything I know about grouper fishing to Joe Hifko... he's a great teach. I let all my charters know that when there diggin in on some nice fat Hawgs. Winter fishing is very good for the Gags and Sea Bass. Mostly inside 15 to 20 nm.
