    tie wraps or wax floss

what do you guys use to bridle fish through eye sockets? I have seen that tie wraps are really effective and easy to use not to mention less traumatizing for fish than using a needle with wax floss or dacron or whatever. Do you think it affects the hookup ratio?

umm..anything thru your eye sockets is no fun..IMHO..we use panties elastic there are always a few of those hanging around and for bigger horse hoo's thong bungee's work better jess kiddin..

Floss..is where im at..or riggin wire either one works..floss seems to loosen up to give a nice natural ride..

I've tried both......I think day in, day out floss is the best. It holds up better in the long run and does less damage to most kinds of baits.

On smaller baits like runners, thread fins and goggle eyes I like rubber bands.

Depending on bait presentation, rubber bands because they are fast and do little harm when the right size is used, or floss and rigging wire, they are fairly easy to do and do less damage to the bait then a zip tie. Also, you want it to look natural, a zip tie does not allow that as well, plus with rigging floss or wire you have more control in how the bait is presented in the water which makes the bait more effective when done right.

I've only used floss and rigging wire. Wire ties sound like a good idea, I'm going to give it a try.
