Threser Fishing June 29th

Well what a boring day not a pull.
Forcast had big thunderstorms so we stayed inside 20 miles hoping to find that wiped tail fish but had no luck once again.

Drifted the DB bouy , train cars and Mc crie shoal. I am determined to get a thresher as i have never cuaght one but will not give up till do.

Thinking of running a overnight shark and tile trip this sat to sunday or sun to monday.

Do'nt worry john you'll get that whip tail some day. Fun day on the water and it was just beautiful out there. Fun running at 40 kts trying to run around a storm cell . Let me know whats going on with the trips. I'd like to kill some tiles and a slob canyon mako.

Admin thanks for the ride off yesterday. We did not rope a thresher but we did catch every bottom species offered near shore. The fish gods accepted the ritual and the bad karma voodoo is wiped clean off your boat. Now lets go catch some feesh. One thing for sure the blue rocket can out run a storm cell when ya need to....LOL hang on seafood....beep...beep...LOL...I had a great time guys. Lets do it again soon

Jon,

New Shark Troller's Bible on the way. Threshers are wonderful troll fish and lousy chum fish. Take the time to read the book, follow the instructions and you will get that fish - maybe even more than one that first day that you get in them. Don't laugh! It has been done many times before and if you get in a hot bite of big fish, you will quit before the fish do! Oh, and be ready for a mako surprise. Out here they are actually a nuisance when we are after threshers! Stay tight and around bait and structure and a good current/temp break if you can find one.

Remember, that Casagrande crew had one up (there is no mistaking a thresher on a surface lure) THE FIRST TIME THAT THEY TRIED TROLLING! Oh yeah, and they had several of those danged mako interfering with their thresher fishing - doggone it! And how many threshers got caught in that tournament?

I rest my case, your honor.
