    Thumbs up Thailand, Black Marlin

Left Chalong bay 3rd July 9am and cruised to the similan islands though the night.
Got there in the early hours so strated jigging.... imediatly strated pulling up Snappers, Tuna's nothing big but constant action & fun.
Started trolling around some FADS we know of pulling in small YFT then all of a sudden something blows up on the short rigger no hook up..... so we circle back, same lure gets hammered again ...no hook up! seconds later Shotgun goes off reel screaming, line pouring out the back of the boat, Marlin greyhounding starboard side of boat.... cleared all line and the fight began back and forth, back and forth

just wouldnt give up and never jumped again, after 2 hours 45 minutes it died on us (Hence the meat shot) had to hand-line for 20 minutes to get it back to the surface ........ 300+ lbs

Nicely done Andy. Too bad the fish died, glad it went to good use.
Take any pictures of the snappers you jigged up?

    Congratulations on a fine catch!

    Black Or Blue?

I will leave that one to the experts to debate, but here are some more pictures.
