    Teaser Reels What kind? Why?

    Lots of choices....

    Stacked or separates?

    Side by side or separated?

    Specialty Teaser or reuse reels?

    I'm on a 30' WA hard top

I was looking at the Big John reels but I noticed they don't have a clicker. I am looking at using the narrow spool Penn 49's (see picture in my last post).

Teaser reels are great. When it gets down to the "nut cuttin'" though, I couldn't justify spending an awful lot on teaser reels. If I was rich with a 40' Viking, I'd probably go with a nice set of electrics but I'm not. I'm just a guy with a 32' Blackfin. I went with the Cannon's. They have clickers. They seem to wind up and store teaser line as well as I would expect from any teaser reel.

    WOW!!
    awesome price!

at 400$ minimum savings i'll crank with each hand.

    Now mounting...
I'm guessing keep them close so one guy can crank both?

I mean when you want them in, you want BOTH in ...right???

Snow..why do you want a "clicker"??

Reel Colors are the best manuals on the market. We sell Big Jon's for Chesapeake Bay Planer Board fishing. For Electrics, Miya Epoch's are really nice.

I would stay away from the dual manuals.

Mount them where you can get to them from the helm. The clickers are useful if something grabs one and no one is paying attention.

I use 30 internationals. Also have used 6/0 senators. Both work fine.

Lever drag with a clicker is nice, but not necessary. A fast retrieve is good. I load my reels with 200 pound, so decent capacity is a plus.

Make sure the first 10 feet or so on the reel is like 15 lb mono.If not and something grabs your teaser and takes off you'll be buying a new outrigger.
