Was supposed to blow but pretty nice early so we slid cross pocketto where we had our activity yesterday... Mid pocket we saw a slob mako cruising but couldn't get his attention. Got to our area...
"There he is! Blue one right rigger!" A typical pocket class blue was back there loading up. Suddenly another came out of nowhere piled on the left and missed the hook. Our attention turned toward working it when the other finally ate. Them two us none... We circled and nothing on the exact numbers but a 1/4 mile up the edge we had a single smoke us...
Another quarter mile there was a fourth. I got involved with this one cause I didn't want another miss. Well... I broke a cardinal rule and started dropping when I felt the tap but before it came off the clip. By the time I tried to come tight I had failed too.
Rattled we started getting clipped off by wahoos and picking cudas. Kind of asleep dealing with them we whiffed two sails. Finally had one stay stuck so it wasn't a total was. Mi C-Shell was in there with us and fared better. Stinging one of their blues and two of their sails...
Ok we sucked today but there will be more days.
The wind kicked up 35 or so and made our day a short one...
