There are plenty of roosters around at that time in Southern, CR. they are pretty thick all year long with Apr. to July being the peak. Up north is a little different but not much.
I fished on a boat called the talking fish 4 years ago. Great crew, and captain. We chose to fish roosters since I had never caught one and they produced fish for all of us.

Most of the boats mentioned are not out of Tamarindo and are fishing further south at this time of year. The exception is the Talking Fish a 37' Topaz
