Take A Kid Fishing...

We stayed in on the 40line Sat trying to keep the spread in 68-71 water and avoid the rush hour traffic going on out a little deeper.

Ended up with 3 small YFT and a Mahi on spreeder bars and tuna feathers.

The best part was my 10 yr old son on his first trip offshore got to reel in his first Mahi. It was our 3rd attempt with him in the ocean and this time he was loaded up with ginger snap cookies, ginger ale and a little dramamine.

The other cool part was once back at the dock everbody congradulated him on his first catch and on the way home sunday he was reading the 2007 Tuna Tourn book and asking all kinds of questions about all the different tuna's in the ocean.

When I put him to bed last nite, he said "Thanks Dad, I had a great weekend, can we do it again sometime".

It was priceless.. I think you knew what my answer was.
