I had a pair a few years ago. The bases are fair--- nothing to get exicted about. The Taco poles are junk and like wet noodles-- worst part is no spreaders are available. If you go with the Taco bases, get rid of the silly spring thing , drill a hole through the base and pole and use a pin & clevis. For the
poles, get good ole 18'Lees (appropriate diameter) and add a single Lees spreader--- now you have a half decent set of outriggers for a small boat. However, IMO there is no comparison to Lees Jr. Wishbones for true outriggers on a small boat.

Ask Vinny, he will know!!!
There are some new carbon fiber poles out that are supposed to be lighter and stiffer to hold up to bars.
I don't know fo anyone that has tried them yet but they may be worth checking out.
RWW what brand are this poles? do they telescope?
I forgot to say.. I have a center console... Mako 235 1981... with an alumminum t-top. I don't even know if the t top is able to hold the weight of a pair of outriggers.
I run a boat for a friend that has the TACOs. The poles didn't survive the first season (they bent) and the adjustable mounts pretty much suck (they often collapse on hook-up) I'd buy something better. Your T-Top is most likely strong enough for any outrigger, but you may need to have mounting pads welded in to have adequate strength.

There are some carbon fiber ones that are able to extend. I don't have them though. I just happened to be looking for a set or something.
