    Whatever Ms. Mongo catches

    Sport Slams

They are not built for any serious offshore trolling. They would be ok for Albacore jigs or small feathers but not billfish lures or Marauders. I would buy something else.

Here is a link for the carbon fiber ones Lee sells. Cords running through them look pretty cool but not sure how well they work. http://www.leetackle.com/carbonfiber.html

I think the Cayon Runner guys run them on thier Regulator, maybe they will chime in or send them a note and ask...

    Taco T-Top Mount Outriggers

4 years ago I got into tuna fishing and bought the cheapest pair of outriggers I could find. They happened to be the TACO Striker base t-top outriggers with 15 foot telescoping poles. I put them on an old Mako 25 on the fiberglass ttop. Granted, the poles are flimsy but I'm not sure thats such a bad thing. I run 2 spreader bars off each pole, long and short and have had absolutely nothing but success with them. The poles have seen at least a hundred tuna bites and they're still straight as the day I bought them. I run at least 6 canyon trips a year and a dozen or so inshore bft trips each year always with the telescoping poles fully extended, and they still haven't bent. When I bought these things, I figured if I stayed in the tuna game I'd buy a better pair. Truth is I see no reason to yet since they're working great and still catch just as many fish trolling as most other boats with very stiff poles.

I have to agree with Minglewood, I have the sport bases with the 15ft poles on a Contender. I have used them for 5 years without problems. I have had numerous friends with other brands comment on how well mine worked and held up. I run two halyards off each side rigged snug. Maybe that helps keep my rigid?
