headed out on sat(if the forecast holds)to do an overnighter for swordfish..

i have rigged squid and unrigged already, got lights on the way, very interested in water temp advice or bottom terrain?what in particular is important in fishing for swords?

    thanks

Where will you be fishing? Here I run baits at 100, 200, and 300' I try to lay off shore of structure with a minimum of 1300' of water. The water often eddies around in these areas and where I can find some up welling I do pretty good. In the past I was a flygaff man but have come around to a poon for them.

I'm not familiar with your contours but I see a nice section of 78.3 water at 31'54 and 79'06 roughly... Run a green light if you got one. Slide a live bait out either on top or on one of the deep baits...
