Well after a nice lay up after BFT season our first shake down trip to the stream was pretty uneventful. Started fishing the deep outside the sw corner of the Big Rock 140 fathoms working to the NE corner into 30 fathoms. We never did find any good water 70 was the most inside the Rock. Hooked and lost 2 Hoo's on the planer rod and a King on the flat line. The AJ's were THICK!!!! could'nt make a pass without hooking one up. Anyway the talk on the radio was a hand full of blackfins and a couple YFT and a few Hoo's and a bunch of Kings inside the break if you wanted them Should have put my King permit to use and loaded up but you can't pass up a nice day in March and not give the stream a shot. Hopefully the boy's that are going tomorrow will slaughter the YFT and HOO's. For the most part it was a great day to be out. Got to fish with my good friend Brad "bird hunter", he now call me the King of the AJ's, I made him reel everyone in. Heading to Somerset NJ, for the show, I have a booth so stop by if your there. Till next week. Kill Something Big!!! Capt. Ken
