Block and tackle works well too. Hook it to the top braces of your t-top and hoyst away. Just make sure that your t-top is well made and keep the rope loop connection close to the weld and not in the center of a pipe.

You don't hook it to the top, one of the middle cross braces. all it for is to give you alittle help not do all the work. You still have to help the fish over the side. You pull a few over and you'll get the hang of it.
1) Put something slick over the transom, to whatever side of the outboards you want to pull the fish onto. A king mackerel kill bag works really well for this.
2) Run the rope around the post of the T-Top so you can pull back on the fish. Kind of a ghetto pulley.
3) Back the boat into a swell and let the wave lift the fish up. It should slide right in with less damage to the fish.
4) Cut your pumps on.
Here is a post a did about boating big fish. Enjoy.

Sea Dragon when I think of a come along I think about the metal one with a ratchet and wire cable. I think you said a come along pully. Is this a two way pully that you can run the cleated line and the fish line through. Thats awsom you can pull a 400 pounder over the gunnel by yourself with this method.
Using the t top seams like it will give you a better angel to get him in but I sure would hate to bend up that aluminum for a fish I cannot sell.
It is killing me to stay home this weekend the tuna are going to turn on and the stripers are getting hot and the duck are going to finally start to fly. I love January
sorry to jump on your post Capt. Ken catch um up!!!

No worries, thats what I love about this site and forms we all help each other learn. For as long as I've been fishing I still learn new tricks everyday. Being a big boat fisherman who know owns and operates a smaller boat I love it Big Fish in smaller boats is a blast. Capt Ken Mullen
