All I can say is FINIALLY!!!! Sunny, warm, no wind and the fish were chewing...The long awaited and well needed break in the weather aloud us to get out and get some work done.. 04/24 I had Kathy Archablod and her son Neil from Vermont out to do alittle Jigging and Bottom fishing. This was there first time offshore and the first time Jigging but after this trip I think there hooked. We had a great day fish Red Grouper, Triggerfish, B-liners Sea Bass and AJ'S..Tryed out some new Jigs from Stingo, they seemed to work real well on the Jacks and Sea Bass so I guess I'll put them in the jigging rotation..This trip we worked in the 38 nm range between 130 and 170 ft of water not much current which really help out..
The rest of the days I had Jackie from the Merry Marlin, Dave who works on the Helen H out of Hyannis out on Cape Cod and Von and Ryan who were out to learn alittle about the bottom game..These trips were spent fishing Gag Grouper, Sea Bass and Triggers, American Red Snapper and Of course we had to throw a few jigs at the AJ'S since Jackie and Dave like the abuse..We found real good numbers of Gags as well as plenty of Big bass and my ARS hole is still producing. It was a grweat feeling to get these days in and I have a couple more nice days before the weather will pick up..Dave has already made the call to the Cape to brag about how good the fishing is in NC, his first time with me we were weathered out but he got a chance to land a couple nice BFT out of Hatteras but this time he got a chance to dig in on some good grouper fishing..This was 4 great days of fishing with a great people hope this is a sign of the summer weather pattern...Ken
