surf fishing help, please
I'll be heading to North Wildwood in a few weeks to visit the in-laws, and I'd like to surf fish a little while I'm up there. Any tips on species, areas around Hereford Inlet, artificials versus bait, etc. will be much appreciated

Crab mustard is good
2nd street with clam. Theres was a pipe that went from the beach out.
Or i have all ways did ok with lighter tackle and blood worms up at the end for kings.
When you heading down?
I fish the two mile bridge ( the one that takes you to cape may) And you might be able to still catch the blue and weakies if you are heading down in soon. I just got back on tuesday and the blue came back after the storm.my buddie called me last night and said he was hitting weakies down there in the after noon. And thats 1/2 oz.to 3/8 oz bucktails with pink trailer.

Thanks for the reply. I know exactly which pipe you're talking about, and I'll give it a shot. You suggest clams; are you rigging larger ones on fishfinders for bass/ blues or small double rigs for kings? Also, is the fishing good along that bank back towards where Moore's used to be? I was thinking early season shallow water fluke around there, or should I rent a skiff and head back in the marshes? I'll be down LATE thurs night 21st of June and leaving monday the 25th. Oh yeah, how can an eagles fan live in a place called "Dallas"town
?

Crab mustard is good
Last year we did two weeks down there last week in may and last week in june. We hit them hard up there. Striper hit evry cast . Now nothing to write home about but fun! Now this is just me when I go up there I use 3/0 and tie tie the clam on. The kings up at the turn around at the end of N wildwood ya double rigs with bloods. Kind of fun when not much going on.
Like i said trie the bridge you might still be able to hit the blues . As for renting a skiff try Sterling Harbor Bait & Tackle they allways have treat me good when i am in town.
