We ran the new "Tricia Lynn" out on Sunday for her first tuna trip to the are of The Dip . It was a little lumpy on the ride out about 3-5 ft but they were calling for it to lay down so my crew was fine with it. We trolled the area just north where the filament of water was on your shot from that morning. Within 30 minutes we had five yellows on and we landed all of them , keeping only one which was 54 lbs. Trolled the area some more without too much action so we headed south over the edge to give it a try. Not too much in the deep so we headed back up to the flats, 380 - 425 ft of water , and we got jumped on right away by a nice yellowfin. We had that fish in gaff shot only to have the guy with the leader let the fish go into my running gear, that fish was slightly larger than the 54lb we brought home. All in all it was a fun day, the main concern for me was that we had fish as it was her maiden voyage for me offshore as the new owner. As forecasted the seas for the ride home laid down and the wind dropped out, had a great ride home.
