    Stripers have arrived in Maine

Yessah - Stripers have arrived in Maine.

Very reliable report from a friend who was in the Ogunquit River (rear of Ogunquit beach).

    Tuna to follow!

This is early from my records.

That's good news. I was talking with a buddy about this yesterday... we were saying that it was any day now. I can't wait to get out there.

    I hope your right

I visted some of the local haunts down here today and although the weather was great there was zip action. It's any day for certain but after that NE blow the temps dropped again. We took a boat ride, non fishing, yesterday and I marked some small bait balls probably herrring. The herrring runs are going gang busters but the one in the canal is zippo. It's always a bit later though so I am not in panic mode by any means.

If your fish are there that's simply awesome. FWIW they were getting a few twinkies just before the storm.

Guys if you want when they do arrive your welcome to fish behind the cottage if you like

    Hold Overs??

May be hold over resident fish, plenty in the rivers, esturaries and harbors up and down NE now, Boston Harbor and the Charles River holds them year round as well, you can tell when you catch them.....
We have caught them in Boston harbor in Dec/Feb in the past.
They are ULTRA thin from living on scraps all winter, usually around warm water outflows, power plants, feeder streams etc.
