Well, I guess now I can call this a streak...8 trips in a row with big BFT on the spinning gear.
Today was SLOPPY, but we got out, got it done quickly, and back to the dock for the celebration before it got too ugly. Arrived on scene, water temps down, no signs of birds, but a few marks on the finder. Moved less than 100 yards down and we had a single fish break near the boat. Turned off the engines, and on the second cast of the day, we were tight. This fish was pissed off something good, and dumped a good amount of the spool in a hurry. Settled down after the burner run, and got him under the boat within 15 minutes. Thats when this fish decided that he was gonna get stubborn, and he stayed put for over 20 minutes until we could jockey the boat and change his circles. On the second pass after he came up, I buttonholed this fish just behind the head with the dart, game over. Fish was a PORKER and roughly 60 inches, the Toro on this fish was insane.
Few more pics, enjoy.
