I'm bout to quit fishing and look for a job on the set. Job title " Jessica Alba fluffer ".
I second that about the tournament. The guys over there did an excellent job. All the way from the directors to the bartenders and dockhands. First class all the way. This tournament is gonna do nothing but grow over the next couple of years. I'm glad you guys got in there and got a check. The fishing was way off for down there and still I think everyone caught plenty. Did not meet Jo, but Nick is a helluva nice guy and puts on a fine event. Free bar. Enough said. They even had a mobile bacardi bar for the weigh in. The dinners were excellent. The majority of the crews were nice too. I met some guys that I look forward to spending more time around on the water. I got a shotgun that was half the dang on entry fee price. I will be back next year. My crew this year already inquired about booking me for it next year.
On the second day of weigh ins, I pulled into an empty slip. Two or three slips down the boat Steel Trap pulls in. The crew of that boat I guess didnt know they were talking about my boat, but made the absolute snobbiest comments I think I have ever heard. Something to the effect of how I guess my boat had no place in the tournament with these million dollar boats. I held my tongue and had to ask my friends girlfriend to not push the snot nosed little 25 year old into the creek. You guys pretty much summed up exactly what I was thinking when this happened. A boat doesn't have to be a brand new Viking that goes 50 knots to win a tournament like this. You aint gotta be one of the good ole boys to get in. Anybody can win it off just one bite. PS... steel trap won the same thing I did... notta.
