    Sterling Tackle: Report from NJ w/pics

    Heard from Capt Scott on the Playmaker, here is his report.

    24 for 28 on 20 Line BFT!!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Had the "Ballyhoo Bob" charter out for tuna on Saturday. Our hope was to hit the warm water that was approaching the Poormans Canyon earlier in the week. The Satelite shots Friday weren't promissing showing that the water pushed southeast 20 miles from the tip!! Plan B was then put in place. We left TI at 3am navigating the mine field of Dredge gear in total darkness, NEW MOON of course! Arrived on the 20 line at dawn and immediately saw fish busting all over the surface! Deployed our usually nine line trolling spread consisting of four Sterling Tackle Spreader Bars, skirted ballyhoo and two cedar plugs in the wash. The only difference this trip is that we kept the 50's at home and went with the light gear (TLD 25's with 30 lb test)! Had consistant action all day including two blitzes with 5 fish on at a time! More than half of the fish came on the green and zuchinni Sterling Tackle bars. We had a blast even though these fish only averaged 25-40 lbs. By 11am we decided that we had enough and headed the 30 miles home!! Thanks to a great crew that certainly knew their way around the cockpit! Go get them in close while you can. This is a great opportunity to get kids on some great fishing close to the beach!!

    Sterling Tackle A+++

    Way to get on them out there. Your sreader bars and daisy chains raise fish like no others. The green & zuchinni and the rainbow color are my personal favorites that I run in my spread from Sterling Tackle.
    There is nothing like catching busting tuna on light tackle
