Step by Step tying a squidwitch
well I thoght I would post up my way of tying a squidwitch so heres a step by step process with pics
Step 1: Push sea witch head into small squid body then tie with a small piece of waxed floss with an overhand knot
Step 2: lay a piece of waxed floss around four feet long and lay your first pinch of hair. Do not use to much hair because it will fall out if not tightened down.
Step 3: lay your squid down on top of the hair
Step 4: Lay second pinch of hair on top of squid body. Keep this on the top so it does not mix with the other hair.
Step 5: take floss in both hands and loop one end around the other three times and tighten down
Step 6: with your first wrap tightened down flip the witch over and do the same thing to the other side. Make sure when you tighten the loop down it is in front of the last one you tightened down this will create a flair in the hair and the hair will not fall out.
Step 7: when finished with all wraps and they are tight lay the witch down and trim the bottom hair near the squids tentacles with scissors to the bottom of the head
Step 8: With the extra floss from your final wrap make sure it is really tight so it bites into the floss. Cut both sides of the extra floss close to the floss you wrapped around the head.
Step 9: There will be a small piece left but this is okay since it's not supposed to last forever and you can retie it when you need to.
Last two pics are the finished product
Hope this helps for anybody looking to tie one of these and if you have any more questions post them up.
