In your case, I'd stay in Vieques....swords on the south drop, two miles from the coast!!!!!!, everything else is there also.....10 minutes plane ride to Fajardo where you can do everything and anything......let me know if you need any help or info about anything

I'm sure you know how that goes. Can't wait for some R&R in the USVI. I heard the wahoo bite is full speed during this time of year. Adam made me some awesome wahoo lures, which are specific to that fishery.........dragged at 14kts in the second wake with 50 ounces of lead about 30 feet above the lure. Super stoked to catch some fish on em.
have a Great trip Matt !!1 fire up that drag and catch 'em up....

We're looking forward to helping you spend your '09 fishing budget.......

    BAIT

Most of the bait that time of year is usually in 40-60 fathoms...I'd scream around the bait schools and stay towards the "corner"...look for the birds. The "South- side", may be good too....there's a tackle store in Red Hook that may be able to give u some pointers as well..see stewart, they may have info on rental(s) too(?)...and a chart.
