Folks,
I am thinking of going to either Bermuda or St Thomas in 3 weeks time. What would be the best from s sportfishing perspective and what can you catch this time of year?
Best,

I would much rather hang in Bermuda with some first class company rather than limin with West Indians anyday.
As far as the fishing? It is a toss up.
Bermuda cleaner nicer and a good variety of fish look up James on the Wound Up for charter.
don't be scared of reverse
Haven't been to St Thomas but have fished Bermuda several times. Would highly recommend going to Bermuda. Beautiful island with plenty to do and the fishing is outstanding. Wound Up James , even though I have not fished with him yet, would be very high on the recommedation list. Try contacting him and I am sure he will be able to accomodate any type of fishing you would like to do. Good luck with your decision. Nice one to have to make.
Bermuda for your shot at Bigger Fish.
Bermuda with James Robinson on "Wound-Up"........enough said.

Bermuda is a wonderful place to visit and fish BUT if you go the end of April, beginning of May, don't expect marlin bite as their season starts later.St. Thomas bite for marlin on the May full moon will be better.
This is a family vacation and we all fish but the girls do so with ethusiasm but a little bit less vigor that the boys. Its about 10 degress hotter in St. Thomas. I guess there will be a Marlin bite but the fish will be smaller. Hmmmmmmmm.
James should be able to respond this evening or so but late April typically provides fast fishing for Wahoo. Double digit trips are the norm with some big fish mixed in as well. Tuna are also available to give some variety.
There are Blues caught every April but mostly as by-catch while trolling for Wahoo...... more are present in May and the latter part of May has seen some nice fish caught in previous years. A couple Granders have been caught near the end of May in the last couple of years.
