What about a trip to Punta Cana or Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. Very safe, beautiful and easy to get to. The people there are friendly and warm. Should be some pretty good fishing there as well. You can contact Rick Ogle aboard the Mr.B III. First class boat and crew.

Casa de Campo is a 5 star resort and may be a little pricey. Punta Cana is also a nice resort and I bet you can find great travel deals for there now. Both are great vacation spots for the family. Check it out!

Bermuda is fine if you can't make Kona.....

I suspect proximity is an issue, in which case Bermuda is great, timing might be a little early for Blues...

In Kona right now we are working on a building full moon over the next 5 days...Early spring...Bring your pampers if you want to watch fish eat off the second and third wake...

We haven't had our usual spring fling of fish over a grand yet...which probably means they're just around the corner.

Fished today on Marlin Magic II...It was a little slow, but everyone was planning on this weeks' tides for big fish, so stay tuned, it only takes a few seconds to change the perspective...

Yeah, if you can't make Kona, I think Bermuda is a great shot for big fish...Getting to the destination and fishing is 9/10ths the battle...

    As long as you're fishing....

if i am not mistaken Mr Bill is actually and til end may over here on the east coast of the Isle at the Punta Cana Marina.
the east is for billies 10 times the better deal than the caribbean southcoast of the isle.
even that the PC Marina is not very close to the better grounds for the actually great running white marlins.
during the last weeks also the mahis are running in numbers and great sized.
the east coast of the Isle, mostly known as Punta Cana as the whole strip, offers lodging in all rates ranges and service classes, from $60.- per room per night til 5K per person per night, it's all here and we will stay on the fishies til end summer.
for best shots look for lodging in Cabeza de Toro aside the sportfishing club, 4 hotels right here and close to the best fishing spots. no waste of transfer time, no waste of offshore running time to get on fish.
after 14 years i know why i life myself right here and have the boats finally all based here.
    tight lines
