That's too bad about Sapphire Beach--I stayed there a couple years ago and thought it was a pretty nice location. Nice snorkeling reef right out front too.

As others have suggested, I'd call Stewart Loveland at Neptune Fishing Supply for a heads-up on the charters, he can also probably get you pointed in the right direction for lodging as well.

St. Johns is well worth a side trip--don't miss the Pour Your Own bar where the rum is practically free, you only pay for your Coke and ice.
