    St. Lucia fishing help

well will be off to St. Lucia in about a week and loks like i will be trying to fish on my own. most charters are booked and besides it is the wife and i only and she isn't much on that stuff sooo. had one charter offer some info on local fisihg myself but am looking for some help in lure selection and what not. probably going to take a couple jetty stick type rods with me so any advice on packing a small tackle box and technique would be great.

St Lucia is one of the better islands in the Carribean to go sightseeing on.
It's not your typical Carribean small beach island.

I am heading down there in August. I too would like to book a charter...any references??? Also, is the only way to fish based off a boat or would it be worth while to bring a rod or two with me for the honey moon. Jsut getting a look into the place, the fiancee just told me thats where we are going for the honeymoon. Who am I to argue???

go alone on a small boat. Fish are just outside the cove. $200 I fished on a water taxi. They have rods and bally. Just renting the boat and a driver, do your own thing.

Matey, Take a stroll down to the marina and walk around. You may find someone that you did not contact that would be willing to take you. I know last week in Cabo I could have gone again but I think one day was enough for the wife. While walking through the marina I must have had a dozen offers to go fishing.

which marina did you go through? that sounds like a great idea...can you only fish from the boats or is it worth bringing down a rod with you?
