May be going for a vacation and just wondered if anyone has done any fishing from the shoreline?

We go every year, I cant get away from the wife for a charter so I bring a 3 piece spinner with small stratic 2500 10lb braid. I throw small castmaster spoons, jigs with gulp shrimp and also buy frozen shrimp and squid. Bring a dozen small spoons and different size hooks and some splitshots of different sizes. Ive caught jacks nice ones too snapper, peacock flounder, cudas, rock fish about ten varieties I dnt know what they are, and believe it or not 2 years in a row caught 2 nice bone fish yeah un believable on spoons. theres also snook and tarpon but Ive only seen them at the local marinas where you cant fish there pets to the locals. I usually go early like 630-700am get my coffee and go while i wait for her to get up, she thinks Im nuts oh well....
