From what I can tell most of our customers are running chains. But lately we have seen a few more bars being run on the teasers. Reason for this is the number of marlin being raised to bars while tuna fishing in the early season. I think small packs of hunting marlin that wolfpack your spread out of nowhere are attracted to the added disturbance of bars but balling marlin that are set on eating their bait off balls don't react as much to bars and chains are easier to handle. BUt then the question turns to length, color, size of squid, number of squid. length of space between the squid and trailer baits. Its amazing how the preferences change from boat to boat. Good Luck and always be prepared to go with the teaser that is hot!
