Spring Hill on the NE coast? Only Spring Hill I know of is on the central west coast where my parents live. Please specify a better geographical location for more info.

Fishing sucks off Hernando County unless you take a charter. Access to the water is poor and don't expect to find a real beach there. Water drops 1' per mile off the coast until about 25', 90 miles to 100+'. Homosassa would be good for inshore redfish and trout and down to St. Petersburg (where I live) for offshore grouper, snapper and AJs. Plenty of piers to fish from if that is your preference just don't expect to catch much. If you need more info just ask, good luck with your trip.

what he said. their idea of "deep" water is 90 ft at 80 miles. you are pretty much stuck with inshore and backwater stuff
