Special Thanks to everyone at SFC

    Hey guys,

I've had a life changing experience these past two weeks. I became sober. It will be two weeks tomorrow since I have had a drink, not one drop.

Truly, I must take the time to say Thank You to everyone here. You guys have been extremely supportive and helpful in my battle to recovery, and if it wasn't for you guys... honestly I don't know where I'd be right now. You guys helped me see the light, and for that I am forever grateful.

My sponsor is taking good care of me, I attend meetings weekly, and my church has found the time to pray for me during my struggles. Alas, it has gotten easier... day by day. My desire to drink has slowly subsided, and I realize that I don't need the bottle to get me through the day. Of course I have the urge to drink every day, but it is not as bad as it was.

God Bless everyone of you who has stuck by me and supported me through these trying times, I will prevail.

    Warmest Aloha and Mahalo,

    -Noah

Ono Noah, glad to hear that your are hanging in there, keep it up, one day at a time...
Seems that you are doing the right thing with having a sponsor to lean on, attending your meetings and having your church behind you...

this is great news, man. Not only for you, but for everyone who knows and loves you. I know this might sound strange, but for some it gets both easier and more dangerous at the same time. Stay with the sponsor. Stay the course. Keep an eye out for the traps, and there will be traps.

You are good at asking for help. I never was. Don't forget how well that has worked for you.

From time to time, for various reasons, it may just suddenly seem like perfect sense to take a drink. When it does, you need to be prepared to realize that it doesnt.

You've managed to climb out of the wreck. DON'T climb back into the wreck. It's still a long walk back to town.
