    A special Fish

    Fished behind the poormans today and caught my third longbill spear fish of the 2010 season.

    What made this fish special is that my long time client and friend Brooke Duvall caught it. He has needed the longbill to round out all 10 species for a while now. He now joins an elite crowd of fisherman to catch them all. I am so happy for my friend.

    We also missed a few whites, and are currently holding 1st through 3rd in the tuna category of the OCMC LAbor day tourney.

    Sounds like the bite went off down the beach, with some boats catching 30 plus. it is over 100 miles from OC, so it is out of bounds for the tourney.
