Fished out of Southport on Sat with Blue Marlin on the brain. Headed to the break to try and put a little meat in the boat before heading off into the deep. Had a couple decent dolphin and an average wahoo in the boat by 10:00. Had a sail come behind the right short during this time, I managed to get a hook in him but it wasn't meant to be, he threw the hook on a double barrell roll jump and was gone. That was the craziest jump I have ever seen. That is the second sail I have not been able to connect on this season and I am starting to get very frustrated with the dang things. After all that excitement we headed offshore and put a couple big baits out in hopes of a blue. Killed a lot of time out there and put a couple of good dolphin in the boat while we were out there, one went 33lbs. Came back inshore late in the day to look for another wahoo but no takers. No marlin for us but a good day anyhow.
