well no granders here!! what a fish!
we made it to the Toms with a hour of daylight started the troll south east, spoke to a buddy who was there at noon with only a YFT to show for it..
headed south to the notch and looked around 550' found a "parking spot" and dumped a gazzillion feet of line! settled in on the hook and started the chunks... Nothing interesting until around 10:30 when a 5' Tiger shark swam up to the underwater lights and checked us out! only a drive buy but man you can not miss that square head & stripes!!!way cool!
Later 2:30 the first rod goes off.. 70lb yft in the box... then we marked fish, but could not hold them under the boat, when they would come through "wham... but then nothing so between 2:30 & 4:15 we put 4 - 6 YFT in the box.
At first light we started the retreaval process of that GAZZILION feet of line... I think it stretched during the night! Thank you! who ever created the anchore ball....
On the troll we picked up 3-4 Long fins.. at 9:00am we plugged in the number 102 nm to go home! NW we headed...
water was great 76 and clean... lot's of boats so should be more reports comming....
