    SOFT HEADED LURES

Not a new idea, but a good one. Will save some scratches on your hull and deck as well.

I have built my own (not to sell) and have experimented with different materials, but have not been happy. They always end up yellowing quickly and it is hard to get the desired hardness.

Better call them "Head Soft" OR "Rubber Heads" or you will be gettting a call from Moldcraft pretty soon.

Would love to see them..... Good luck!

Soft lures work. Moldcrafts Senior Wide range is a great soft lure and is on everyone's top 10 list. I always have one out when I am BM fishing. Crazy glue the inner skirt on when you buy it.

No intentions, if we start offering them, to use the words "SOFT HEAD", whatsoever.

Given the choice of the same lure in soft or hard, I'd buy the soft one every time. They don't chip when they get dropped on the deck. Likewise they don't damage the deck. They don't hurt near as bad when you get hit in the head while leadering a fish. Fish will bit them over and over. I see no down side from a consumer stand point.

Thanks MX, Bull, Capt J, Fdeckie for the input, our hard heads don't chip when they hit the deck, we use the best high grade urethane which are super chip or crack resistant. If they do for some odd reason will replace them N/C.

There are a couple good reasons to go the soft route. I have had quite a few Marlin guys ask if we made them either in lures or teasers. Also, had inquiries for small heads to run with Hoo's, little chuggers and bullets.

    Thumbs up

I think a lot of the good points have already been raised! At the end of the day variety is the spice of life and I always carry a mix of soft and hard head lures so that I can ring the changes in any paterns that develop. Also i'm a total tart for new lures and anything that gives me a chance to expand my collection is a good thing!

I would happily carry a few of your lures out on my tours and the softheads would probably be my first choice!

In short, if you've worked out a system that works, then go with it and people will buy them off the back of the results!

CANYONSOFT tm URETHANE HEADS ARE A GO!

The CANYONSOFT tm head option is live on the site across the entire line of lures and sizes - Small thru Large/Teasers. (spreader bars, daisy chains, teaser chains are not included at this time).

In the "Head" section of the lure building options choose:

    "HEAD TYPE" - attribute:

choose - "SOFT" IN THE DROP DOWN MENU.

ALL LURE OPTIONS ARE SET TO HARD, YOU MUST CHOOSE
    "SOFT" FOR YOUR ORDER.

OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET A HARD HEAD.

"CANYONSOFT tm URETHANE HEADS ARE BUILT TO ORDER ONLY AT THIS TIME".

    Thankyou for your time.

    Questions, give a call.

Is it the same material that the Durasoft lures are made from at Capt. Harry's?

Don't know what Capt Harry's DuraSoft lures are made with. I have a feeling they are injection molded which would most likely make the resin completely different. Not a knock on the lures or DuraSoft at all, don't know what type urethane is used in the process.

Ours are hand-poured and heat cured.

There are alot of urethane's on the market. Like anything you get what you pay for.

We opted for the highest quality and highest cost, to produce the best results for the customer.

    Hope that answers the question.
